![]() Boscawen-Un Stone Circle, north of St. Buryan, near Penzance, Cornwall, United Kingdom. Hidden by thickets of bracken, a good trek from the nearest roadway, and inland not far from Land's End, this delightfully sloping array is relatively unknown, even to many Cornwallians. Excavation has revealed the large central pillar's leaning stature was intentional. At 6 feet 2 inches above the ground, its tip towers above the other 19 stones evenly distributed in an oval around it, except for an alley open to the west, on the right.
